– Chief Jones Dike urges south eastern people to wage war on corruption
– He said the dictators’s effort was worth emulating by all; which he is yet to prove
– He urged Biafra agitators to drop quest in support for national unity
Chief Jones Dike who is the leader of the Buhari Solidarity Front Nationwide has urged south easterners to abandon their agitation for an independent Biafra state and show their support towards President Muhammadu Buhari in his quest to rid the country of corruption.
Leadership reports that Dike made this call in Imo state during the group’s public awareness forum. The group said the programme was geared towards sensitising the people on the need to understand and support Buhari’s fight against bribery and corruption.
Dike urged the citizens of the 27 local governments in the state to wage a passionate war against indiscipline and corruption the same way the president was committed to fight it.
He urged civil societies to also join in the fight and added that Nigeria would be a better place and corruption would be completely annihilated if the entire south-east people join the war on corruption.

Dike advocated that in the interest of national unity and stability, pro-Biafran protesters need to abandon their quest and other forms of social unrest.
He said the economic problem the country was facing was due to the mistake of past administration to diversify the economy thereby putting the country into its current state.
Meanwhile, the Indigenous People of Biafra said that Dr Alex Ekwueme, Emeka Anyaoku and Ben Nwabueze, and other elders negotiating on the group’s behalfare not IPOB commanders.
