Kano State government has extended the mandate of the Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the fire incident at Singer Market and other markets in Kano city by two weeks, to enable it cover the recent fire outbreak at Sabon Gari market.
Announcing the extension during a meeting with the Commission, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje said the extension became essential in view of the extent of damage done by the Sabon Gari market inferno.
Describing Sabon Gari market fire outbreak as the worst ever that happened in the history of Kano, governor Ganduje assured that his administration is determined to come up with solutions against recurrence of such incidents.
