– A civil rights activist, Philip Agbesesaid the new bill proposed by Kadunastate governor, Nasir el-Rufai is scriptural– The activist said the governor is more of a prophet than those who have predicted his death– He called on genuine men of God to pray for the el-Rufai to succeed in his aim to serve the Kaduna peopleKaduna state governor, Nasir el-RufaiA civil rights activist, Philip Agbese has said that the controversial religious bill by the Kaduna state governor, Nasir el-Rufai is biblical.Agbese in a telephone conversation on Sunday, April 3, described the Kaduna state Religious Activities Regulation Bill as a concept that wasinitiated by Apostle Paul in the Bible.Agbese said:“Governor Nasir el-Rufaiis more of a prophet of God than those who have predicted his death, anyone that wants El Rufai to die does not have a copy of the New Testament or lacks basic knowledge of simple comprehension or both.”The United Kingdom based activist said the prophet who said that the governor would die over the proposed bill is a joker. Some weeks ago, an apostle, Johnson Suleman had asked the Kaduna state governor to either reverse the bill or die.But the el-Rufai in his response said he knows he will surely die but that the apostle should also proof himselfby giving the exact date his death would happen. In continuation, Agbese said the prophet is not only playing with the brain cards of prosperity of his followers but also guilty of offences that are enclosed in the letters of the bill already sent to the Kaduna state House of Assembly.READ ALSO: Religious bill: Gov El Rufai dares prophet that says he will die, read what he saidHe said:“These very persons were the same goons who collected our hard earned money in foreign currency from former President Goodluck Jonathan that he would win the presidential election.“Unfortunately, when the results turned upside down they still shamelessly attempted to deceive their congregants that it was God who changed his mind.“How do we explain the flip flops in their prophetic narrative when those calling for el-Rufai’s head had predicted that he will never become governor that Okorocha will lose his second term and that Goodluck Jonathan was going to win again?”Agbese asked.Backing his support for the Kaduna state governor’s bill, Agbese said that apostle Paul in the Bible encouraged Christians that all men and women should learn to conduct themselves in an orderly manner. He said:“Whoever doesn’t respect this admonishment cannot in the first instance address him/herself as a Christian anywhere in the world?”READ ALSO: Religious bill: Shehu Sani warns of crisis, as El-Rufai insists no ulterior motive existsAgbese added that the bill when passed will restrict all“cut and join pastors and imams”from misleadingNigerians. He also said the bill will bring sanity in the country especially with the increasing number of churches and mosques in Nigeria.“Nigeria has the highest number of churches and mosques in the world yet we still find it difficult to live together in peace and harmony due to hate preaching and sermons that have become a part and parcel of us,”he said.He further called on all genuine men of God to pray for the el-Rufai to succeed in his aim to serve the Kaduna people.Several Nigerians including a senatorrepresenting Kaduna central, Shehu Sani has warned that the proposed bill may influence violence in the state.Sani also called for the withdrawal of the bill from the state’s House of Assembly. @Naijcom
