1. "Afrika actually enriches Europe; but Afrika is made to believe that it needs Europe to rescue it from poverty. Afrika's natural and human resources continue to development Europe and America; but Afrika is made to feel grateful for aid from the same quarters that still sit on the back of the continent"

-- Ngugi Wa Thongo

"Decolonising the mind"

Commentary: Afrika has all the resources that make Europe wealthy. Our diamonds, oil, gold and even human resources have been used to make Europe and America very rich: Our cobalt from Kongo is now been used to produce batteries for electric cars in Europe while we have no electric cars of our own. Kongo for your information produces 60 percent of global production of cobalt. Another example is Central Africa Republic which supplies about a fourth of the world coltan which is used in mobile phones, electric cars and a wide array of consumer electronic is yet the region is an arena of war.

We built America with our labour; we made Europe rich yet we are made to believe we need help. This is not fair.

2. "How good and how pleasant it would be before God and man, to see the unification of all Afrikans, yes, let it be done..."

-Bob Marley

Commentary: The unity of Afrika is the best thing that can happen to Afrika. The people of Afrika must come together as one and form one nation out of the Continent of Afrika. The name of the new nation would be The United Continent of Afrika. The ethnic groups of Afrika should be brought together to have dialogue on unity between the ethnic groups. The Unity of the Continent would bring great progress, while the unity between the ethnic groups would bring peace and also progress.

3. "Afrika is our nation and is in spiritual and physical bondage because her leaders are turning to outside forces for solutions to Afrikan problems when everything Afrika needs is within her. When Afrikan righteous people come together the world will come together. This is our divine destiny".

-H.I.M Haile Selassie I.

Commentary: This is a combination of Quote one and Quote two: The resources needed to build Afrika, and even the world are in Afrika, but Afrikan leaders keep looking out to those who have nothing good to offer us, whereas we have everything the world is looking for. Anytime Afrika unites and begins to look inward, the new world power would be Afrika.

4."It is clear that we must find an Afrikan solution to our problems, and that this can only be found in Afrikan unity."

- Dr. Kwame Nkruma

Commentary: Same message of unity. Unity is the main key that Afrika needs. Afrika unite. Afrika must unite because unity is the most important key to the progress we hope for.

5. "If we as a people realized the greatness from which we came we would be less likely to disrespect ourselves."

-- Marcus Garvey

Commentary: We Afrikans are the original people who came to exist on planet earth first, scientifically proven. We Afrikans are the first builders of world civilization. We Afrikans built the first united states in history: Egypt. We have given more to the world than the rest of the world. Why do we not know our history, why do we disrespect ourselves, why do we think we are the least whereas we are the greatest. We live in the first and oldest continent; the most blessed continent on earth yet we flee to nations of the world just to wash plates and earn little Dollars and Euros when we can build the most prosperous nation on earth. Afrika unite, be wise and be the first and not the last among the people of the world.

6. “Unite we must. Without necessarily sacrificing our sovereignties, we can forge a political union based on defence, foreign affairs and diplomacy, and a common citizenship, an African currency, a monetary zone and a central bank. We must unite in order to achieve the full liberation of our continent.”

-- Kwame Nkruma

Commentary: Afrikan unity is a necessity. Dr. Kwame Nkruma who was "The Greatest Advocate of Afrikan Unity" advocated for Afrika to be united into a single federation as already written in the commentary on Quote two. But now he is saying that if we cannot have a federation, we should at least, have a confederation. A confederation between when the states of Afrika still retain their sovereignty but we have common Afrikan defence, foreign affairs and diplomacy, and a common citizenship, currency, monetary zone and a central bank. This is also called an Afrikan Monetary Union AMU, which the European Union is heading to. But, the intimate is the United Continent of Afrika which is one country just like Ghana, Nigeria, USA, Egypt etc.

7. “Yet All stock exchanges in the world are pre-occupied with Afrika’s gold, diamonds, uranium, platinum, copper and iron ore. We have been too busy nursing our separate states to understand fully the basic need of our union, rooted in common purpose, common planning and common endeavour”. -- Kwame Nkrumah.

Commentary: This is Dr. Kwame Nkruma's version of Quote one. It is sad how we are potentially the richest people in the world but actually the poorest people in the world. This ugly state however is not perpetual as was proven in Quoe two, that the solution is Afrikan Unity.

8. “I am an Afrikan. I owe my being to the hills and the valleys, the mountains and the glades, the rivers, the deserts, the trees, the flowers, the seas and the ever-changing seasons that define the face of our native land”.

-- Thabo Mbeki, “I Am an Afrikan” speech delivered on 8 May 1996.

Commentary: So long as you are amber of any ethnic group of Afrika, you are an Afrikan. The Afrikan identity is the purest national identity you have, others that are based on ethnicity or European created 'nations' are temporal and won't live forever.

Conclusion: In conclusion, Afrika is potentially rich but really poor, the key that will unlock the potential wealth of Afrika to make Afrika rich is Afrika rich is the key of unity.
